Hey, I’m Chris. :]

I’m a self-taught street and landscape photographer, digital abstract and pixel artist, and graphic and branding designer with a background in building unique creative collectives, hosting live shows and events, and creating projects around various communities, including live talk/interview shows (near 100) and open-mics, local concerts, and a few art shows. (over 200). Over the past 10 years I’ve lived in multiple cities like San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Austin, Flagstaff, Denver, and Los Angeles. I’ve also worked at a few hostels across the states, and have stayed at over 60 Airbnb’s, all with positive reviews. :]

I’m really looking forward to meeting locals and other travelers, making genuine friendships, trying new cuisine, and exploring new countries and cultures. - Into biking, kayaking, hiking, camping, live music, new cuisines, architecture, urban exploring, roadtrips and I’m in love with mountains, forests, lakes, rivers, and the ocean. I’m also a techie and love learning new things and would love to get into more DIY projects, and things like electronics, 3d printing, and building no-code apps.

Creatively, I’m focused on growing my portfolio and skillsets, and applying to international artist residencies and design programs outside of the U.S.. My aim is to have a few residencies locked down for 2026 and to be enrolled in design school somewhere in Europe or Asia by 2026/2027, preferably in Taiwan. :]

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I think it would be really cool to meet up with locals and learn more about the cities I'm traveling to. I think it's a cool alternative to traveling alone in a hotel room. I've worked for a few hostels in the US in my twenties, and I'm excited to begin meeting more travelers again.
