Overview
About Me
I'm just getting ready to set off into the world, and see what there is to see. I've done my best to travel and see the world while studying, but there's only so much you can do through summer break.
I'd love to take some time off and travel around, hopefully for a full year, but it's hard to fit it in while still studying.
Once I graduate, however, the world's gonna be mine!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing seems the best way to meet the locals of a place, and get a much better experience of the culture, customs, and food of the place you're in.
Not to mention the sort of people who use couchsurfing are generally damned awesome.
Unfortunately my flat at the moment is too small to host anyone, but In the future as space opens up, I'll have as many people as want to come!
Interests
I'm currently in the New Zealand Under 23 Representative team for Ultimate Frisbee (bit of a weird one, i know), so that takes up a fairly gigantic chunk of my time.
Alongside that I'm working towards 2 degrees at university, that have barely anything in common; Engineering (in software), and Biology (in animal behavior).
I spend way too much time watching movies and TV, and playing video games (I'm still a kid, really), but I love it when I'm forced out of my comfort zone and made to go on an adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm pretty easy with music, I love anything upbeat that I can sing along to. Bonus points if it's older than I am.
Movies, again, I'm a sponge. I love everything, even those crappy movies that get a hard time. The one thing that gets me with movies is when they're overrated, and straightup oscarbait (scarface, anyone?).
Books, i'll always be a diehard Terry Pratchett fan, I love reading, but generally don't get the time, or get distracted too easily, but while travelling having a good book for the plane is a dream come true.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a summer volunteering in South Africa (Nearby Durban). I spent my time working between a school (for 5-6 year olds), a croc farm (which had pretty good sized population of aligators and frogs too, incidentally), and a Wild Cat Conservation park (and it turns out, Cheetah's are insanely into cuddling)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm on here to learn and share in other's cultures, as well as giving as much back as I possibly can.
Unfortunately I'm terrible at languages, but I love trying to get at least a few conversational phrases cobbled together. I love being forced out of my comfort zone, dragged to cool places and forced to eat crazy things, I'm all about those fried Crickets!
As for teaching, I'm a pretty chilled out Kiwi, always ready to have a conversation, though unfortunately stuck in my native NZ'ers english. I could teach you all about fluid dynamics and population migration though!
As well as how to throw a frisbee!
