I live with my wife on a tiny farm outside of Brisbane, Australia. We have organic gardens and fruit trees, and keep sheep, miniature goats, chickens and 2 dogs. I also work at a University teaching 3D animation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling to Hawaii, Canada, Mexico and then South America, and am keen to just meet some nice people along the way.

I've got really varied interests. At the moment I'm into old school stuff like Tom Waits, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Jack Kerouac, George Orwell.
Anything a little off beat, David Cronenberg, Charlie Kaufman. One of my favorite all time films is Videodrome, freaked me out in the 80's, and it still freaks me out today.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived a PhD. It took 7 years or so, (seems like a thousand years) through births and deaths and different careers. I still bear the scars, and it doesn't really mean I'm qualified to do anything, but I'm much stronger because of it!
