About Me
I'm 25, recently relocated to California for work. I work with children with developmental disabilities. I have a master's degree in applied behavioral analysis (a branch of psychology). I love hockey, coach lacrosse, and play disc golf for fun. I enjoy video games, kareoke, role-playing games (like D&D), chillin, drinking a few beers, live music, meeting new people, exploring new areas (like Arcata), kayaking, hiking, anythi g outdoors, card games, and probably a bunch of other things!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hey, I just moved to Arcata, CA for work on 5/23/2015. Looking for a place to stay until I get my first paycheck next week, and then I'll have a place of my own to host people in!
I was interested in couch surfing a few years ago when planning a trip to Europe, but I've never utilized this great network of people before! Show me what is about! I want to meet good humans.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to it all, right now I'm listening to Steely Dan, Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac and some other classic rock outfits.
I like Wes Anderson flicks, and anything I haven't seen before.
If I'm not reading a behavioral science book, it's probably a fantasy novel (with the swords and magic and elves and such).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was the national cherry-pit-spitting champion in 2006. Seriously, they had a competition when I was at the Cherry Festival in Traverse City, MI.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll teach you how to play the best 4 player card game that you've never heard of. It's called Euchre, and I host tournaments at the largest gaming and entertainment convention in the USA!! (Gen-Con is the convention, Game Base 7 is my organization)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm told that I'm an excellent orator. I can share stories and beer.
I can also offer any and all insights on human behavior. I've studied psychology for a number of year, specifically behavioral psychology, and autism treatment and research. I love, love, love talking about humans and why we do the things that we do! (No, I won't be 'analyzing' you, haha. I'm not that kind of psychologist!)
