CURRENT MISSION

We are two brothers bicycling from Barrie Ontario Canada, through the United States to Puerto Vallarta Mexico via the Baja California.

ABOUT ME

Chris - I'm the younger brother, 23, and I've spent most of my adult life doing the daily grind, working trades and factories just to pay rent for a place you're not at half the time because you're always working. I needed a bit of adventure in my life, and now I'm typing this three weeks into our trip in New Baltimore MI!

Ryan - I'm the older, handsomer brother of 27. Like chris and probably yourself I've done the daily grind working as a cook for 14 years. My mind always wanders to adventure, no matter what I'm doing. I've spent plenty of time in my canoe and hiking along the Bruce Trail in our home province of Ontario. We finally gave in to our desires and have devoted our lives to adventure and exploration. We spend most of our nights out camping but would love to explore some couches along the way to meet some awesome like minded people and have plenty of experiences to write about on our blog.

PHILOSOPHY

You only live once, so I'll settle down and work my butt off at one single job when I'm not physically able to do much else. Until then, I work in adventure.

Chris - I work, I clean, I hang out, and I take awesome pictures!

Ryan - I'm fit enough to bike across the country, therefore I'm fit enough to help around your house! I have plenty of stories to tell and keep a positive attitude.

I suppose we enjoy the same types of movies as the next person. By no means are either of us "movie buffs" but both enjoy a good flick. Music is more a part of our lives for sure.

We both are into a wide range of tunes but to list off some bands: Tool, Primus, The Mars Volta, Tenacious D, Sublime, Queens of the stone Age, Radiohead, Cold War Kids etc. etc. Mostly the rock stuff. Not really into rap, dance or country music.

The three weeks on this trip is just about at the top of my list. I hope many more are to come!

Chris - I've played guitar for about 10 years, been a drummer for 7. Know how to work a DSLR and Photoshop pretty well, as well as editing video.

Ryan - I'm a self taught web developer and like playing with code, but by no means a pro. My background is in design and print because of our family business growing up. I've also been a cook for 14 years and know my way around a kitchen, sort of. We can both offer first hand experience in long distance cycle touring and living in hammocks too.
