Overview
About Me
I grew up in Maine and lived there for 22 years. In 2014 I move to DC and have lived here with my brother since. The reason I like to travel is not really to see beautiful places (although this is a bonus). I travel for the opportunity to meet new people, to learn about a different culture, and to step outside my comfort zone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm coachsurfing in order to meet and engage with people that actually live in the places I'm visiting. I also weirdly enjoy sleeping on couches.
Interests
I love both playing and watching basketball. It's by far my favorite sport but I love almost all sports. I enjoy reading, especially in the morning with a nice, hot cup of coffee. I also really enjoy discussion about books films, society, spirituality, politics, and just about anything. I meditate daily and am very interested in spiritual practices, especially Buddhism. I really enjoy the Spanish language and am getting better and better everyday, poco a poco.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all different types of music. Some of my favorite artists/bands include RHCP, Pink Floyd, M Ward, Chet Faker, Bill Withers, and Jeff Buckly. I also enjoy all different types of literature. Some good ones I've read include Moby Dick, War of the Worlds, and Cats Cradle. I'm also a big big fan of Harry Potter. My all time favorite movie is Space Jam. Some others I like include Her, the Usual Suspects, and Pans Labyrinth.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked to and swam in an amazing waterfall in the mountain forests of Colombia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach basic guitar, juggling, and owl calls. My main learning focus right now is Spanish.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A warm smile and good spirit. Also, help cooking and keeping the house clean.
