Overview
About Me
I grew up in Switzerland but I had the opportunity to do a master in Waseda University (in Tokyo): that's how I ended up living in Japan.
While at university, I was able to travel to various parts of Japan (Hokkaido, Okinawa, Kyushu, etc) and to other countries as well (mostly in Asia and Oceania).
It's a bit harder now that I'm no longer a student, but the company I work for is international and flexible, so I have more vacation than the average Japanese salaryman and I manage to travel a few times a year.
Apart from traveling, I like hiking, climbing, cycling, watching documentaries and music: I've actually recently started playing electric keyboard.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I recently experienced couchsurfing thanks to a friend I traveled with in New Zealand. I really loved it, so here I come!

Music, Movies, and Books
On the whole, I'm a big fan of 70's to 2000's pop and rock music.
And always in for having fun at a karaoke, one of the most popular entertainment here!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Drove all across Australia (from South to North): 5914 km in two weeks.
And met a few crocodiles on the way :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
All I know is that I know nothing.
