Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Have just graduated and am travelling Central America for the next few months.

Looking for friends, new experiences, new food and of course spare couches!

So far Guatemala has been fascinating - eager to learn more about the indigenous culture and also learn some español

I have a great thirst for knowledge and love to learn about new places, experiences and people. I love art and the outdoors.
When travelling I love to experience the nightlife and culture of my host country/city and particularly love an opportunity to try specialty food (I have a big appetite)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an eclectic music taste but most often you'll find me listening to 60-70s Soul and Motown, with a bit of the old American Songbook thrown in.
As for movies - I'll watch anything - favourite films include Casablanca, Silence of the Lambs, Cabaret and Zero Dark Thrity (pretty diverse haha)
Similar story for books - favourites include Wuthering Heights, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Catch 22 and I'm a big Aldous Huxley fan

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sun rise alone and undisturbed in the canopy in the middle of the Bornean rainforest - with the bats coming in to roost around me and the birds walking up for the day. The mosquito bites were worth it!
