About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore as much of this amazing planet as I can before life gets too serious!
ABOUT ME
Awesomely bad sense of humour! I enjoy serious and intellectual banter too and can talk the leg off a bar stool to the right person with the right conversation.
I am a keen explorer and happy to go bushwalking away from all the hustle and bustle just as much as checking out the populated cities.
PHILOSOPHY
Give most things a go. I'd rather regret doing something than regret not having done it. Treat people with respect and they should treat you accordingly. Just try and get as much out of our life on this planet while we have it :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am easy going and happy to meet people of all backgrounds. Everyone has a unique story and it is great to get to know new people and hear their story.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have recently had my first official couchsurfing experience and it was amazing. My host in Bordeaux cooked me native French food and I also spent the day with her and some of her friends on a picnic. An unforgettable experience and one of my favourite experiences all trip. It is great to meet the locals and see how they live.
Other than that, I have couchsurfed through friends and friends of friends. It is fantastic and I am very appreciative - especially in peak season!! Actually had some better couches than hostel beds!!
Interests
Travelling (oh how cliche and obvious)!! Dogs, Garlic, good food, good company, learning about history and foreign cultures, learning Spanish (and may start others when I finish my travels), Ice curling, my friends and family... so many more!

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite band of all time is The Beatles followed closely by The Killers. Latest for the repeat list is Florence and the Machine and still pretty keen on The Kooks.
Not a huge book fan. University has somewhat temporarily ruined my desire to spend more time in front of a book. Now that I have finished though and done some travelling to clear the brain clutter, I may get back into it.
Pretty open minded with movies. Favourites would be the Bourne Trilogy as well as silly comedies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling to Europe. Being in Madrid for the Eurocup final. Going to the London Olympics. Exploring Rome and appreciating what they built so long ago with none of the machinery we have today! Just brilliant!
Teach, Learn, Share
My skills include Carpentry as I used to be a tradie, making awesome off-the-cuff jokes, generally a pretty good conversationalist (if that's a real word), boring Engineering facts.
I would love to learn more Spanish or perhaps French as that is next on the list. I like learning about history too. I am amazed just how much I have learnt already on this trip.
