[MY LIFE THROUGH PICTURES]

[UPDATED OCTOBER 2023] Hello there! I’m Chris, a Seattle-based physical therapist, photographer, and business development manager with a passion for the world and the people, places and experiences that shape it. I am forever grateful for the CS community for providing a platform in which to see and learn about the world, while meeting lifelong friends in the process.

As my travel preferences continue to evolve from my younger backpacking days, I often still seek out CS when travelling as a way to connect with others, despite not 'needing' to. Therefore, my requests are never out of desire for simply a free place to stay, rather an experience and interaction not otherwise possible.

I have spent a few years not on CS due to COVID and being in a limited capacity to host - from both a job and living standpoint. However, I have recently moved into a larger and more stable housing situation, which allows me to provide a much more comfortable and hospitable visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

[TO SURF]

"A traveler sees what he sees; a tourist sees what he has come to see" \\ I don't care what the internet says. I want to get to know you and your city from your perspective.

[TO HOST]

“A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles” \\ When I can't travel, hosting is a great way to bring the travel to me. If you request to stay with me, your chances are much greater if you read through my entire profile. I'll know. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

[MUSIC]

I have an extremely broad taste of music, and it largely depends on my mood. My go-to is indie/folk/acoustic, but you may quickly find hip-hop, pop, rock, chill/electronica, 80s/90s, and mainstream on my playlists.

[TV/MOVIES]

I rarely watch many movies anymore - just some occasional TV series. Most recently, I've enjoyed The Good Place, Ted Lasso (!!), Jack Ryan, Designated Survivor, and of course can always watch The Office or West Wing

[BOOKS]

If it's non-fiction and has pictures, I'm interested :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Pet a tiger // Held baby leopards // Swam with elephants // Skydived // Scuba diving with sea turtles // Flown airplanes // Summited Mt Whitney and back in a day // Photographed the Northern Lights on NYE // (Thats... one, right?)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy cooking, beer/wine, photography, travel planning, and am in the health care field. If there's anything there that can be used to contribute to my stay (or your visit to the Seattle area), I'm happy to! I also believe in leaving someone's place the same or better condition than when I arrive.
