Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that couchsurfing is not about saving budget on accommodations but about sharing life, making friends and expanding visions.

Interests

Chatting is one of my hobbies. I'm kinda addicted to it. It's nice to exchange ideas with people on political, diplomatic, social, cultural and environmental issues. I can be a good listener too. I like to learn about the history of local tourist attractions or any kind of stories that you'd like to share.

I swim and jog on a daily basis. On holidays I like to ride my motorcycle and wander around in the rural areas near my hometown, Tainan. Sometimes I'd walk along the sandy beach or in the lush woods to clear my mind.

Yes, I'm one of the Asian nerds. I play video games and board games. I have enough board games at home but not enough players. I spend a lot of time online too. For example, I like to read the articles on the forums related to my preferred topics on Facebook. Those subjects include urban development, art, design, international relations, global trades, social movements, environment, technology and energy issues.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite books are mostly novels, such as Harry Potter, Divergent, Lord of the Rings, etc, and the entire Dan Brown collection. I'm open to recommendations.

As for movies, I watch all kinds of movies, including animation films. I also love to watch North American serial dramas, such as Scandal, Grey's Anatomy, Daredevil, Arrow, Flash, X Company, the Good Wife, etc.

When it comes to music, I'd say Pentatonix, Home Free, Coleen McMahon, Melissa Y Eureka, Caleb Hyles, the Piano Guys and Kyle Landry are some of my favorite artists, to name just a few. Again, I'm definitely open to recommendations.
