ABOUT ME

I'm 20 years old, male, don't smoke, drink, do drugs, I'm not loud, don't have pets, and I'm on my own. As for my personality, I'm a quiet and generally introverted gamer geek, but I love being around people I enjoy and talking philosophy, games, and comedy. I love learning about all sorts of crap, especially obscure or non-standard ways of making it in this world and improving your ability to survive. I love dumpster diving and parkour, but don't do them often because I get bored on my own.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is a strange mix of existential, nihilistic, objectivist, and humanist philosophies. I believe there is no god and no higher purpose for life and that life exists only to propagate itself and continue existing. That said, we're the species with the most developed higher consciousness, which gives us the freedom to choose our own path and make meaning from nothingness. Many people choose to embrace religion or something else that tells them why they are alive. I'm the kind that lives to improve as much as I can before I die, for no reason other than to say I did. I believe that the only true evil in this world is causing unreasonable and undue suffering. In addition to that, I dedicate myself to developing a thick skin so that every pinprick doesn't feel like a grievous wound, and being as honest as possible, because only through facing things head-on does anyone improve.

I also think people in a good situation should help those in bad ones. People with money should give to the poor and try to help improve the lives of everyone. I don't know if I'll ever have enough to give back, but I've sworn to myself that if I have that privilege of not knowing hunger and cold, I'll try to pass it on to whoever deserves it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I pick up after myself and clean the house when it gets dirty. I don't like staying on someone's couch and feeling like I'm doing nothing to help them out. I also make big meals if there are people around to enjoy them, and don't use other people's food, and I buy household supplies like toilet paper and soap.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my experience has been with friends in a different state. I'm currently staying with my dad, but my time runs out on the 2nd. Unfortunately, not many people want to rent out to a person they're afraid won't pay and it's hard to find a job with little experience. Well, now that everyone is hiring for the holiday season, I'm sure I'll be able to find something.

Well, I quit my last job in a different state and came to a city I'd never been, expecting I'd be homeless. If nothing else, it was fracking scary.
