ABOUT ME

I grew up in South Africa. I love playing golf and follow most sports. I like to have a few drinks and taste beers from different countries. I tend to be a quiet person, but once I get to know somebody, it's a different story. I tend to follow rules and like exploring new places. I am young and living my life at the moment. Snowboarding is a newly found hobby. Next stop is New Zealand, Australia and Thailand in September 2013.

PHILOSOPHY

Politics interests me, but there is a time and place and I will drop it if it gets out of hand and go onto the next topic. I believe that it is important to see the world and meet new people and exchange ideas.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have travelled to Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. I am currently in Durban working as a Landscape Designer. I could possibly host, but I don't have my own place as I share rent with a relative.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to most kinds of music. I love reggae and music from South Africa, like Goldfish, Freshly Ground and Goodluck. Bloc Party and the Queens of Stoneage are two of my favourite bands. I enjoy listening to Coldplay, The Killers and Tracy Chapman. Recently I prefer Folk music. I don't really read books, but read the news often, just to identify the bias and the propaganda. I like sport movies as well as a comedy here and there...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to the Great Wall of China and seen most of Beijing. I have hiked up Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa and I play rugby in South Korea in my spare time. I have met some awesome people from all over the world while in South Korea.
