I'm 38 and happiest when creating. I run an animation studio based in Birmingham and am lucky enough to work alongside some incredibly talented people. We live here:

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being a stop-motion animator I tend to spend quite a bit of time in dark rooms, so conversely I like to get out and travel wherever I can. I've developed a big soft spot for South America these last few years but also still love finding surprises on my home shores in the UK. I like to think I'm a sociable person. Music gigs and festivals are my release valve against work.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My girlfriend introduced me to this and, through her, we've stayed with a couple of people who have been incredibly generous and trusting with their homes and their hospitality.

Intereses

Scuba-diving, powerkiting, cinema, music, reading. I write novels and short stories in my spare time and am a big fan of graphic novels. I don't own a TV but love cinema. I cycle almost everywhere which makes driving a welcome novelty, not an infuriating necessity.

I've seen the Northern Lights from up a Norwegian Mountain in the Arctic Circle and scuba dived alongside a working submarine.
