Hi! I’m Christos, originally from the Piraeus area of Athens, Greece.

What I enjoy most about traveling is meeting people and discovering how life feels in different places. I believe the best way to experience a city is through its people, its neighborhoods, and the small everyday moments that locals enjoy.

I love walking — sometimes endlessly — through cities, exploring neighborhoods, cafés, and cultural spots. Cycling is another great way for me to discover a place. I’m also very interested in culture: art exhibitions, theater, music, and good conversations about life and different perspectives.

In my everyday life I try to stay active: I work out, swim, and play tennis. I also enjoy camping and spending time close to nature, but at the same time I appreciate the energy and culture of big cities.

As a host and as a guest, I’m respectful, clean, calm, and easygoing. I enjoy sharing conversations, experiences, and sometimes a meal together, but I’m also very independent and respectful of personal space.

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is really about people and cultural exchange. Staying with locals or hosting travelers creates a much more authentic experience than simply visiting a place as a tourist.

I enjoy meeting people from different cultures, sharing conversations, exchanging perspectives, and learning how others live and see the world. Some of the best memories from traveling come from these human connections.

For me, Couchsurfing is about trust, openness, and mutual respect. It’s a way to build small bridges between cultures — and hopefully make a few good friends along the way.

My taste is quite diverse. I enjoy many types of music depending on the mood — from relaxing music to more energetic sounds. I often listen to music while walking, traveling, or relaxing at home.

For movies, I appreciate films that make you think or show different perspectives about life and society. I also enjoy documentaries and independent cinema.

When it comes to books, I like reading about history, society, ideas, and sometimes novels that explore human relationships and different cultures. I’m always happy to receive recommendations from people I meet while traveling.

I can share good conversations, travel stories, and perspectives about life and different cultures. I’m always happy to exchange ideas and learn from the people I meet.

I can also cook a simple Greek meal or bring some Greek snacks when possible. Of course, I’m always willing to help with small things around the house — cooking, dishes, or errands.

Most importantly, I bring respect, positive energy, and appreciation for the hospitality I receive. And if you ever visit Greece, you are always welcome to stay with me in Athens.
