Other than surfing on couches while I travel, I tell other people about Couchsurfing.com and I encourage them to give it a try.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The usual stuff: visiting friends in other cities. I've even snagged some stays with my drivers when I hitchhike and a few hours of sleep on the couch of a new friend I met at a train station.

Interests

I love talking about politics and world affairs. I'm also a "research geek," which means I spend a lot of time in bookstores and libraries looking for books and reference material. It might sound odd, but it's to teach myself how to find information -- especially if it's considered "hard-to-find" -- and then use that skill on the job.
