ABOUT ME

Ah..well i'm easy-going, open minded, interested in a lot of stuff but far from an expert in anything! I love the natural world, the beauty and sheer absurdity of it all and also learning about people, cultures and ideas. If I could be anyone in the world...David Attenborough.

Love music,will listen to almost anything (except metal), played live and outside all the better.

My girlfriend and I are now in France after traveling through South East Asia. Marieke doesn't have a CS profile yet but she's super friendly, welcoming and chilled out, loves meeting new people and loves SCUBA diving..she's like a fish in water!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

hopefully do some surfing through Laos and then Europe and do some hosting once i settle somewhere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Pretty new to CS, met up with a few CSers in Laos and had a great time in Bordeaux with Francois & Kristel. I love the concept and its philosophy, anything that combines travel, meeting interesting people and free accommodation has got to be good!

Intereses

Music, nature, learning more about sustainble and communal living & renewable energy, instant photography, food food and more food! Travelling and new experiences. Meeting people with a different outlooks
Floods, earthquakes, volcanoes... not so cool about the whole death and destruction but the sheer force of nature is pretty awesome. And thunder and lightning too!

Ah I'm terrible at genres, I can't keep up with them and I just forget them anyway, I'm open-minded and will listen to anything. Not too big on house or trance tho...but hey feel free to enlighten me. Currently fixated with The Black Keys, TV on the Radio, Naked & Famous and the Little Bushman.

I'm clueless when it comes to movies, but I do enjoy. Always go for the comedy over the horror. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to books, love reading but just go off recommendations from friends, favourite would have to be Shantaram, if you haven't read it do it!!
