ABOUT ME

me interesa mucho conocer comunidades por vivir y hacer un trabajo social, y estoy buscando oportunidades tener un capítulo de vida aquí en américa del sur. el año pasado pasé 6 meses viviendo en nueva delhi, india, enseñando inglés, literatura, matemática y más en una comunidad de clase obrera. después, fui a hanoi vietnam por 3 meses para hacer un trabajo de asistencia social en un orfanato para niños con descapacidades.
aparte de esta obra, me encanta conocer música, comida, y cultura en lugares que me llaman atención. quiero disfrutar el rítmo de vida en otras culturas y vivir sin las estructuras y barreras de mi propia cultura.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Right now I am amazed with how I have established a worldwide community--friends from so many countries who receive me in their houses and give me more than I imagined possible. I have travelled places that scare many Americans away, like Israel and West Bank, and celebrated with families where no other tourists participate.

Travel constantly reminds me of the similarities between us as human beings. I find I can understand a person, their spirit and desire, a situation, even without common language. In all parts of the world, we desire fun, love, a good life, closeness to others, and we share beauty, fear, attraction, and generosity.
