ABOUT ME

Chris was a computer systems analyst until a couple of months teaching English in a Burmese refugee camp changed him for good. Now he is a community development worker - current focus is affordable housing and homelessness but most passionate about multicultural work.

Karyn used to be a lawyer but didn't see much justice in it then went off and set up Steiner schools. Now she helps non profit organisations get set up and get funding.

We enjoy most things and love new adventures and cultures and interesting people. We are both on a spiritual journey (arenâ

PHILOSOPHY

And for a bit of travel philosophy – We’d rather stay with a local family in a bamboo hut than in 5 star hotel room. It’s the people you meet and the experience of a different way of life that makes travel special. And then the opportunity to see the way I live my life with new eyes.

Interests

Camping and bushwalking, the environment, intentional community, spirituality, eco-villages, indigenous cultures, playing (well, trying to) guitar and singing (well, kind of). Karyn loves karaoke and Chris has been learning some Latin dancing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn yoga. Karyn is teaching me but I'm not very flexible. I can teach a bit of Latin American dancing (if I can remember). Karyn knows some great meditation practises.
