Overview
About Me
Tidy, respectful, open-minded. I make friends easily. Vegetarian, but I do sushi now and then. Indian cuisine is my favorite. I love animals. I love basketball and have been weight training my whole life. I’m a writer. Music, smart movies, comedy, and literature are passions of mine. Two truths: Hate never dispels hate. Inclusion always prevails over exclusion.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a kid, my peers and I were ingrained with the safety concept of “Don’t Talk To Strangers.” Past age 12, this lost power on me. I have every reason to believe that people are good, honest, helpful, and friendly. So now I want to share what I’ve learned from 45 years on Earth, from my travels, and to learn as much as possible from like-minded people.
Interests
Music. Travel. Writing. Evolution and anthropology. Warm weather. Exploration in various forms. Vegetarianism and good nutrition . Weight training, running, basketball, camping/hiking, swimming in clean streams, if there are any. IPA beers. Club soda.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
First thing that comes to mind is that I was proud of hiking out of the Bright Angel trail in the Grand Canyon in the same time it took me to get down (1.5 miles). I don’t know how I managed, but they recommend taking twice as long to climb out as to descend; I made it out in the exact same duration. I think I wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible. The Canyon is, of course, too awesome for pictures. All those strata of millennia shorn off right in front of your eyes, like a diorama of time itself.
When I was traveling in Western Turkey, I stayed with two families (without using the Couchsurfing app) who were gracious enough to take me in whilst I was rambling about. This isn't something amazing I've done. It's something
Teach, Learn, Share
Always during my travels I’ve made friends; I’ve written stories about them. Probably my travel journals represent the most beneficial thing I could pass on—if anyone’s interested.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a sweet 14-yeard dog. She's super chill (and kinda deaf/blind) and she wont bug you at all.
I clean my apartment regularly, but if you are allergic to dogs (as I am), I don't suspect her presence will affect you much, if at all. Still, FYI.
Also, my apartment complex has a pool for summertime use.
