À propos de moi

ABOUT ME

Laid back and eclectic songwriter. I LOVE connecting with people, especially over music (open mics, song circles, seeing local talent), the outdoors (hikes, paddles, cross country skiing, campfires), and over board games (BG cafes, D&D or other RPGs, or BG parties).

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'm going to be doing a bunch of travelling in the next year+ and I really want to connect with locals rather than hotels and tourist traps/fake culture.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

A few years ago I hiked the West Coast Trail in British Columbia, Canada. Myself and a couple friends were stopped to water up and we heard a deafening crack, some bushes/leaves tearing and a thud so strong we felt the ground shift below us. We couldn't see anything in the dense rainforest though. I was so stunned I couldn't figure out what it was, but one of the other hikers had worked it out quick: one of the massive old trees that had lived out it's life fell that day. Probably one of those type that it takes three people to hug the whole way around the thing. The whole forest went quiet for like 30 seconds like a moment to remember and thank before very gradually the usual ambience of chattering and scratching et al finally returned. There were lots of reasons to feel small on that trip; but that one trumped all.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I would love to teach learn or share songs to those interested. I can swim and skate and would be willing to help others out with that. I would love to learn more French and Spanish along the way but I would need to stay longer in one spot for that.

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

Songs (original and covers), stories and laughter, some good portable board/card games to learn.

Pays que j'ai visités

Barbados, Germany, Mexico, Morocco, Switzerland, Turkey, United States

Pays dans lesquels j'ai vécu
