ABOUT ME

I help make art happen. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Chris Castillo studied Journalism and Photography at San Antonio College before completing a BA in Photography and Art History at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Currently the Assistant Archivist at Artpace, he has previously worked for Bexar Bibliotech and the San Antonio Public Library. He is a founding member of the artist collective The Lullwood Group which has curated Second Saturday exhibitions monthly since 2012.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited a large cenote, deep water-filled sinkhole in limestone that is created when the roof of an underground cavern collapses, as well as some Mayan ruins on the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico.
