CURRENT MISSION

Travel America, play music, meet new people, other musicians. See what there is to see. I quit my job back home and hit the road. I want to challenge myself and find out what I'm made of. As well as looking for music opportunities I want to do some serious backpacking. I'm on a soul-searching journey to find out what I'm really good for.

ABOUT ME

I want to get away from what's totally familiar to me and learn from new experiences, meet new people, play music, find an opportunity, etc - I tend to jump around a lot. I'm really ADHD. I used to believe that was a mental disability, and now I know that in reality it's just a way to describe what kind of person I am. My brain is always looking for stimulation, I want to be involved in everything going on around me and I love it. I take it all in, the small stuff and the big.

I'm interested in just about anything that catches my eye, but music is my love. I play drums and guitar and also write. I love reading books, watching sports...anything, really. I love meeting new people and I'll try most anything at least once if you twist my arm enough.

PHILOSOPHY

Asking "why?" is so often a useless question. Many people think that finding out why something is a certain way is the same thing as finding meaning in it but I don't think that's true. "Why" looks backwards. The "Why"s in life (the Causes) are externally imposed - things just happen. The meaning in things comes from within, from your heart and your gut. It looks forward while being mindful of the present.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have a whole lot of experience, I am still pretty new to this. But so far my experience has been positive.

Interesses

I love listening to, playing, and creating music more than anything. I play drums and guitar. Beyond that...creative writing (free, fiction, lyrics, scripts...anything, really), reading, driving, sports (especially swimming), business (studying accounting), fitness, politics, etc... I'm generally up to try most anything.

Stephen King and Kurt Vonnegut are my favorite authors - Kurt's got the blue ribbon.

I'm a music fanatic, any style, if it grabs me I'll love it.

My movie interests are all over the place but I guess I would say that Sci-fi is my favorite kind of movie.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

I toured the country for 6 months on a beaten and battered school bus as part of a 9-person reggae/funk/rock/hip hop/party band. I haven't been able to shake the itch to hit the road since.
