ABOUT ME
hmm. i don't really know who i am. i am 33 (i think....32 maybe? no, 33 i think) i am a nature lover. a vegetarian. an animal rights activist. i am a cat foster mom. i am a music lover. i try to play guitar but am not very good. i adore and am constantly amazed by anyone with any kind of artistic talent. i find inspiration in the little things. i am incredibly socially awkward....but want to meet new people and get over myself already. i am hesitantly excited about the idea of couch surfing!!
PHILOSOPHY
i just try to be a little bit better than i was yesterday. it doesn't always work. but i try...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
once upon a freezing cold winter afternoon i hiked up in behind lake louise. i was in a terrible mood (i was living there and having issues!) and just wanted to be moving to work through my thoughts. i finally got to a point where i couldn't go any further and had to turn around. what i saw was amazing. the trees covered in snow. the blue sky. but it was what i heard that i will remember forever. the nothingness. you get so used to white noise in life. traffic....power lines...the hum of the computer. out there i heard nothing for the first time in my life. it was deafening. i thought my heartbeat would start an avalanche. i will never forget it!
Teach, Learn, Share
i want to learn everything! i'm afraid i don't have much to teach. um. hmm. i could explain the very basics of roller derby maybe lol. i can show you maybe a half a dozen chords on a guitar. oh i know! i can teach you tricks of dealing with copious amounts of cat fur!!
