When younger, I was lucky with those I met travelling, nice to be able to return that. I like meeting other people with ideas. I am a good cook and love cooking for others. The older i get, the more I wish i could live a lot longer to learn more

Male,44, single and keen to remain so, hetrosexual. Funny, spontaneous, enjoy being single. Irish, but lived in Britain for 20 years - despite it's faults, I like it here. Enjoy meeting other people of other cultures. Am happy with silence.

Friends are everything because you can choose them.Adversity never hurt anyone who could beat it. Life is good, whatever God you believe in meant it to be so - we have become confused somewhere along the line.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Years ago, whan I was younger, couchsurfing was a matter of luck and happenstance. Modern life destroyed that trust. If anyone wants to stay with me, I am happy to provide bona fides. In fact, if you are young and female, I'd rather talk with your parents first.

Scuba Diving off the Great Barrier Reef- utterly magical!
Taking the train from Sydney to Cairns - a train with a nightclub!
The bazaar in Tangiers - Bizarre!
The Salt Mines at Bad Reichenhalle in Austria - like being in a mythical world.
A friend's vineyard in France at Dawn - so desirable.
Any time I have made someone happy with a simple gesture.
