I want to live not just the full length of my life, I also want the entire width and breadth.

ABOUT ME

After 25 years of marriage, I suddenly found myself alone. With a little luck and a lot of courage I hope to see all the places in this world that I have only dreamed of so far.

I am fascinated with puzzles and people, and to me, they're actually the same.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is what I intend to teach my granddaughter:

1. God first, no matter what, no matter when.
2. Be nice or be gone. You never know what difficulties other people are going through. Your smile might be the only one that person will see today.
3. Open your mind as well as your eyes and see the whole world. Embrace the differences in people.
4. Learn to shoot pool well. Not only will it teach you all about geometry, you will also learn to think ahead, plan for where you want to be next.
5. Appreciate an ice cold beer after working outside on a hot, humid, summer day in south Florida.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had any Couchsurfing experience yet. I am planning a trip to Ireland/UK this fall, and hope to surf most of it.
