ABOUT ME

I recently discovered couch surfing while attempting to plan a month of travelling. I will be an exchange student studying at the University of Leeds in the UK. I get an entire month of for Easter (so the month of April) and hope to use this month to backpack across Europe. I am incredibly excited, especially since I am from a small town and my family does not travel often. My plan is to have my boyfriend, Henry, fly to England and from there we will begin our travels. We are from the country side and would love to experience not only major attractions but smaller wonders as well. Our goal is to get a taste of how the residences live in the places we visit, and observe beautiful landscapes. I also have a fascination with beautiful, old buildings and similarly my boyfriend loves visiting castles. Both of us our optimistic and easy going people! We are just hoping to make our way around Europe to see and learn as much as we can!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently a student staying in residence and travelling when I can. Therefore, I think couch surfing is a phenomenal idea! It is a great chance to meet locals and have a more genuine experience! I intend to return the favour and offer my house to inquisitive travellers like myself when I finish school and return home.

I study chemistry, and honestly that usually occupies most of my time. I love chemistry and working in research. But when I am not studying, I love to explore new places. If it is not possible to travel, then I find books about to read. I especially like reading books that have historical content in them. I also love to laugh so I watch comedy series on TV.

I must say that the best series ever written is the first set of books that I ever fell in love with. I am, and have always been, a huge fan of Harry Potter. But now I enjoy reading fiction stories centred around non-fiction topics such as wars, concentration camps, and other survival stories. One of my favourite books is Unbroken my Laura Hildenbrand. My boyfriend loves watching movies and is a huge fan of Mark Wahlberg. I prefer comedies because I love to laugh!
