I'm pretty laid back and easy going. I'm a bit quiet at first, but give me a few minutes to warm up and you'll see that I'm a bit sarcastic and like to engage in some witty banter. My friends call me a nomad because I never live in one place for more than a year!

I love reading, writing, seeing new places, doing things I'm terrified of, playing/listening to music, event planning, DIY projects, doing service work, and teaching.

#1 - Getting dropped off at a school in the slums of Kenya and being greeted with the most beautiful, joyful singing of one hundred orphans welcoming us.

#2 - Spending the evening in the home of the village chief in a remote hill tribe village in Laos. We drank rice wine through bamboo straws from a clay jug as we listened to elders play a pipe and sing in Lao.
