About Me
Hello!
My name is Christa (obviously!). Over the last two years, I've learned more about myself than I ever thought possible. I'm still learning a lot about myself and what I find important.
What I've learned is that love is the most important thing for me. Whether that love comes from family, friends, lovers, or a passion. I have a desire to connect with people and challenge how they view love. Within my connections, I desire open and honest dialogue, trust, and an open mind. No topic can be honestly spoken about without trust and love for the other person.
I also desire to know the world around me. There is a never ending amount of knowledge that can be learned just from observing the Earth and its inhabitants. And I want to know as much about the inhabitants as I can; its people, its animals, its plants, etc.
Experiences are what teaches me the best. The best pieces of knowledge I've ever received came from experience. it's my best teacher and guide.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I want to meet awesome people while taking awesome adventures! Hotels, and other such places, are lonely. so what would be better than making new friends around the country/world?
I haven't had the chance to travel before, and now that I do, I want to leave the experience with new friends and a better understanding of the world.
Interests
I'm a HUGE music lover, so anything with music is great. It can be a jam session with some local musicians to music festivals to classical concertos. Singing is my all time personal passion. I sing constantly. It's my outlet.
I love eating! Indian and Mexican are my favorites, but any food is good. Homemade or authentic are the best. Any activity that revolves around food will draw me in.
I love nature related activities, as well. Swimming is my favorite of them all. Lake, river, beach; it doesn't matter. Animals have always meant a lot to me, so I enjoy anything where I can see animals in their natural habitat.
Basically, I'm okay with any activity that will be fun!

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have a favorite type of music. However, my favorite artist is Michael Jackson. I've been listening to him since I was born. I listen to most genres, except country and Christian. I'll give anything a listen. With that being said, I do gravitate towards funk, blues, R&B, and the Motown era.
I don't watch too many movies, but my favorite is The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. As far as tv shows, I really enjoy Bob's Burger's and Archer.
Chuck Palahniuk is my favorite author, and my favorite book is Invisible Monsters.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to the top of The Empire State Building! I have a massive fear of heights, so it was quite the challenge.
Teach, Learn, Share
Being in new countries means that my hosts will have differing cultures and traditions that I hope to learn and incorporate into my life. I want my experiences to broaden and open my viewpoint. I want to learn anything my hosts find valuable, and I want to share those experiences and lessons with the people in my life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My views on love, compassion, and acceptance of others.
