About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to soak up as much culture and see beautiful things and find inspiration in different european towns and cities.

ABOUT ME

i'm a fun, happy and confident 21 year old. i just completed my university degree in classical singing (opera) and want to be an opera singer one day (so there may be a chance of me practicing at some point during a stay! sorry! just tell me to be quiet, if it's an issue!!!) i am currently embarking on a six month backpacking trip around europe - and love to soak up the real culture in each place that i go to. i love people and learning new things about life everyday. i'm blessed to be able to see the beautiful things in this world and i hope to never take that for granted! i love travel and i love home, too. inspiration is everywhere.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

singing in a jazz bar in delft - this is the most recent; i mentioned that i was a singer, and next thing i knew a stranger had put me on stage to sing some standards. it was exhilarating and fun and scary to sing with such incredibly talented but humble musicians.

being shown the world as a six year old on a family holiday through europe and a small part of america. it showed me that there was so much in the world - history, culture, language, nature - and that there is always a bigger perspective and a different way to see a situation. it also made me realise that i want to see as much of the world as possible!!

watching the sun rise, the sun set, the stars, the ocean, trees, people around me. it's often the small, seemingly insignificant things that catch my attention and make see that this is a beautiful earth.

Teach, Learn, Share

reuse tea bags - they can always make two cups!

listen to music in three different ways. 1) let it wash over you while you are completely relaxed, doing nothing. 2) analyse it and study it. 3) put it on in the background, while you are cooking or cleaning or reading.

jump into the ocean often and without fear...unless, there are rocks!
