About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see, do, eat/drink, experience amazing things and to meet amazing people, avoiding loss of life or limb where possible.

ABOUT ME

I am a person. A female person. Contact me for further details.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is that I resent boxes that require me to type out my personal philosophy into them, aka, I am lazy.

Do more good than harm? Brush and floss regularly? Appreciate beautiful things/feelings/concepts? I'll let you know when I come up with something more solid.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being new to the whole couch surfing venture, I am at present whoring out the spare room in the house I share with two others to couch surfers. This is in the hope of gaining a reputation as somebody you would want to have on your couch, for when it comes my turn to travel. As well as all that building up the couch surfing community with trust and generosity stuff.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I am relatively new to this whole thing, I will leave this section till a later date.

Interests

In no particular order:

-observing Hanoian traffic in order to discover the holy grail of ridiculous things that people can transport on scooters/motorbikes; so far the front runners are a giant gutted pig carcass, a family of 6 and 20 or so clear plastic bags of goldfish attached to a large trelis.
-painting
-painting drunk
-lodging tax returns drunk
-being drunk
-clean air and visible stars
-the moments of teaching young children that aren't painfully unbearable or exhausting, for example, a stuttering four year old pronouncing my name, qwi-qwi-qwi-qwitia!
-driving my scooter in hanoi, and the intense relief that follows whenever I get off of it unscathed/in the conventional way
-other stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like books, music and movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen bioluminescent organisms swimming at midnnight near halong bay and fireflies and overly colourful butterflies as big as your fist walking through Cuc Phoung.

Teach, Learn, Share

Enquire in person for the following:

-amateur quilling
-how to burn rice in a rice maker, making an unexpectedly delicious crispy treat.
-social awkwardness and conversation killers
-knuckle cracking
-where to find the cheapest bun cha in hanoi (no responsibility taken for any subsequent incidences of food poisoning)

Countries I’ve Visited

Indonesia, Philippines

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, South Korea, Viet Nam
