我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people from different backgrounds and cultures. Exchanging life and travel experiences, going out in company, showing my favorite places or getting to see theirs in countries that I visit is what I really like about couch surfing.

兴趣

I love travelling, cooking, hiking, bouldering (also a bit of climbing, but very amateurish) and guitar playing. Together with my girlfriend Maria, I just embarked on a one year around the world trip and I am totally excited to see the places we plan to go to.

I like many forms of music: Alternative Rock (Red Hot Chilly Peppers), Heavy Metal (In Flames, Dream Theater), Acoustik Guitar (Tommy Emmanuel, Andy McKee), some sorts of Jazz (e.g. Barney Kessel) and much more...

Among my favorite books are Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time" series and Tad William's Otherland.

My faorite movies are kind of a moving target, but I definitely liked many Terrintino movies, the Lord of the Rings epos and complex Thrillers like Inception or Memento.

We just returned from a trip to Kamtschatka in the far east of Russia, where we were lucky to find a just sufficiently cooled down lava cave from an eruption in 2013 and explored it maybe for the first time which was really exciting.
