I’m a Graduate student from Seattle, Washington, USA studying Theology at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. I have 3 passions in life: making the world a better place, comedy/humor, and food. I love having fun, trying new things, meeting new people. I consider myself a fairly energetic yet laid back individual.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m constantly thinking about the question “when I’m on my death bed, looking back on my life, what will I think?” I have come to 3 basic conclusions that are non negotiable for me: I need to make this world a better place, need to experience things that remind me how small I am, and if/when the time comes be the best son, husband, father, Grandpa in all of human history. After those three things I could die knowing that I’ve truly lived. Couchsurfing will help me in part of that. To travel to completely different places and meet new people will only remind me that I’m not the center of the universe. I look forward to the relationships I’ll establish and the experiences I’ll have.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a part of a mission trip I traveled to some islands in the South Pacific about 4 years ago, embarked on a 3 week trek around the perimeter of one island bringing supplies to different tribes and listened to their stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don’t have much to teach unless one wants to know about Theology or the Ancient Near East. While I’m not incredible and really anything I’m fairly mediocre at volleyball, drumming, crossfit, counting my fingers, and water balloon fights. I’m am much more interested in learning new things!
