My name is Christian, I am 34 years old and was born in Hungary (Budapest) but I'd prefer to say that I am european... as I grew up in Germany and have lived in several countries throughout.

Others consider me a pretty decent, trustable and easy going guy.

Though I provided 'chef de partie' as my occupation, that is actually only the most recent one... Nevertheless I worked a lot in catering in different countries (animator in a Hotel in Rhodes; waiter/barperson; receptionist, kitchen staff; restaurant manager) I also gathered some valuable and interesting experiences as personal assistant of a blind woman, croupier in a casino, marketing assistant and IT-helpdesk analyst.

One could say that I am still chasing my real destiny but then, isn't that better then getting stuck in a 9 to 5 job that's not the right for you?!

So far I didn't really get involved with couchsurfing - mainly because most of the time I lived in staff houses or shared apartments with only a room for myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am planning to move to Amsterdam and want to explore the city.

My plan is to make a living as a rikshaw driver and spare enough for a nice trip to Asia... :-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- completing a difficult via ferrata climbing tour with friends in Austria without the need of being rescued

- travelling Germany for a month by car while collecting beer cans for their deposit on big music festivals

- Ozora Goa Festival in Hungary (2012?)

- 'gerilla' camping in the woods of Lloret de Mare

- 'gerilla' BBQ under a bridge with an improvised grill made of flat stones

- visiting the Sziget festival in Budapest without a valid ticket (only by swimming across the river Danube and surviving days without being kicked out)
