Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and I appreciate having a host/tour guide. I've had a great time getting to know my hosts and their interests, as well as the best hangouts/restaurants in the area. The references come from the people who live in the area, and Couchsurfing hosts have never let me down.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I backpacked from Buenos Aires to Lima over the course of 10 days. It stretched my limits, especially when I was removed from the bus at the border of Argentina-Bolivia for not having a travel visa (Pro Tip: have all your papers in order). Each evening I would hop on an overnight bus to the next city, arriving at sunrise, just in time to see the city come to life. All photos from the adventure are imprisoned on a defective hard drive (Pro Tip: back up important data). Favorite moments included eating grilled fish on a floating restaurant on Lake Titicaca, observing the Magellanic Clouds in the desert sky, and drinking chicha with an Incan Trail tour guide (Pro Tip: travel alone. You're more likely to strike up conversations with incredible people).

Recently I went to Nepal and had an unforgettable two weeks that was equal parts amazing and challenging, but that's travel for ya!
