About Me
Hi! I’m Cristian, a curious and open-minded traveler who loves connecting with people and exploring new cultures. I’m originally from Romania, but the world has always felt like home to me.
I work in operational compliance and recently started a new adventure living in Amsterdam! During the week, I dive into my job as a Contract Compliance Specialist, but weekends are all about adventures—whether it’s discovering hidden gems in the city, cycling through the countryside, or running my new electric boat rental business.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, Couchsurfing isn’t just about having a place to stay—it’s about the connections and stories we share. I love meeting locals and fellow travelers who can teach me something new about their culture, their city, or life in general. Hosting and being hosted are both opportunities to create memories and friendships that go beyond borders.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We were in Torino,ITaly and we were supposed to take a train to Nice ,France but that train didn't come. We had only 2.80 euros for both of us and we had to stop cars on the road to get there. IT was amazing because we met very different people. The second one happened in Wien. It was 24th of December 2010 and we run out of money. And we had to spend 1 night in there. So we went to different flats to ask them to host us for a night. We were lucky because 2 students help us out offering their floor.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’m happy to share stories about my travel experiences, offer tips about places I have lived, or just have a great conversation over coffee or a meal. If you visit me, I’d love to show you around the city or take you on a relaxing boat ride if the weather permits.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great Conversations: I love exchanging travel stories, cultural insights, and life experiences. Whether it's over a meal, a walk, or a relaxed evening, I’m always up for meaningful discussions.
Local Knowledge: If you’re interested in the places I have lived or travelled , I can offer tips, recommendations, and hidden gems to explore.
Cooking Skills: I enjoy cooking and would be happy to prepare a meal from my home country or experiment with something new together.
Language Practice: If you’d like to practice English (or another language I know), I’d be happy to help!
Respect and Help Around the House: I always strive to leave a place better than I found it. I can help with light chores, cleaning, or anything else you might need during my stay.
Ultimately, I aim to make my stay as enjoyable for you as it is for me. Let’s create a positive and memorable experience together!
