About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love to travel and want to visit as many different place as possible and see as many different peopl ebefore I become a lawyer next year

ABOUT ME

I am tall and occasionally blonde. I have shortish hair. Really I love travelling- i an eager to learn as many languages as possible and practice them in as many places as I can. I despise the idea of being 'stuck' in a job and so if I can find a cheap flight I will try and board it to visit places! This summer I travelled in Eastern Europe and SOuth America, and spent the winter in France as a Chalet Manager. I play sports, including football and skiing, and enjoy reading, I find modern history fascinating!

PHILOSOPHY

"work to live, don't live to work" (crucial, because i am not looking forward to being paid peanuts for working evenings, days and weekends!)
"carpe diem" - you only live once so get stuck in.

i live my life to explore and to understand why people do things and how it affected people. For this reason i thought that Sarajevo was a fascinating place and one om my favourite in the world. Honestly, i dislike people who are narrow minded and have no time to try new things or explore. I am chronically independent and don't really like being tied down!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If my flat mate doesn't object it could be possible for someone to stay on a couch...however next year I will have my own flat and don't mind people crahsing. If anyone needs a tour of London or Manchester let me know, i love speaking and explaining

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have informally slept on lots of friends' floors in the past, in Eastern Europe and South America. I am flexible to the extent that sleeping with luggage in the undercarriage of Bolivians buses is positively luxurious....

Interests

- sport- football, skiing, watching sport, playing new sports, talking sports....
- politics and current affairs- i love leraning about new cultures, people and attitudes by talking to real people and sharing thier experiences
- animals - i'm not a hippy but I do like them a lot

Music, Movies, and Books

'La vie des autres'- a cracker
'Downfall'- one of my favourite
'Naked Gun'- it made me chuckle
'amelie'- so bizaree yet so intriguing.....

books: I read anything, usualy newspapers. I like crosswords (not in a strange way!) but have read Dickens and throught that Oliver Twist and Hard Times were true classic books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Angel Falls in Venezuela was rather spectacular.
- Sarajevo, incredible place and people.
- spending 6 months dtudying in Gent, Belgium- the people, the place and the atmosphere made it the happiest thing I have done in my lifetime.
In mym opinion it is amazing that we are simply alive and have the opportunities to meet and travel. Therefore it is vital to take advantage of these whilst we are still young- sleeping on a sofa or at an airport is only fun whilst you're young- so i try and cram as many things into my time as possible. Without jepordising my studies, of course....

Teach, Learn, Share

- be spontaneous
- at the end of the day, whatever you do (generally), nobody is going to die as a result of it, so try and be realistic
- journalists, politicians and bankers are oleagenous
- I want to learn to live life to the full- to prioritise what i want to do and never to look back when i'm old and think 'i wish that i had done that...'
Teach me!
