About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Whatever you do - do it to make the world a bit better and more beautiful!

ABOUT ME

My friends and family describe me as open-minded, warmhearted, unconventional, enthusiastic, broadly interested, sensitive, cordial and reliable.
New things attract me, picking the food I never saw before, trying out new ways.
I am as hopeless an idealist as I am far away from any materialism, good for the soul, bad for the purse.
And - I suffer from too many interests and too many projects which makes me a dilettante generalist... Plus I am an inveterate night owl (best working time...) and terribly grumpy in the morning by nature (can be fixed with breakfast ;-)
The greatest gift in my life is my lovable daughter (16 years old) and, lucky us, she is happy with me too. The two of us are a good team and I am looking forward to travel with her to England this summer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Newbie!

Interests

Novelty - I am fascinated by innovative ideas in science and technology.
Beauty - of a good heart and of art, architecture, literature, music and nature makes me happy.
Wisdom - a deeper understanding of creation and existence and a loving way of life is worth pursuing to me.

Concretely, I spend quite a lot of time with research of information, filming and editing. I as well enjoy photography, jazz music, reading scientifical, philosophical and fictional books, I do a bit of writing, daydreaming and I improvise on my keyboard.
Each spring I try again to turn my tiny balcony into a vegetable jungle, and I experiment in my kitchen with varying success.
I LOVE to ride my bicycle and own no car. I have a small family and a household, not to forget. And of course I love to travel across different landscapes, cultures and minds, appreciating variety and uniqueness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling and staying abroad coined my soul. I met so amazingly special and precious souls along the way who stay in my heart for ever.

Rearing my daughter. Being happily surprised by her.

Victoria Falls, the Great Karoo, HanoverPark and Soweto, loads of crazy adventures in long time ago Southern Africa, cycling Death Valley, so plenty more places and moments that appear in my dreams vividly.

I am awestruck almost every day. Life offers moments worth noticing and appreciating every day and generally my mood is fine enough to keep at least half an eye open for it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In

Lesotho, South Africa
