The past few years I have been living in different parts of Asia, immersing myself in new cultures and learning new languages. I love to live in a foreign country for an extended period of time while learning about the county's language and culture from locals.

I'm not afraid to try new things and can eat almost anything. I'm always open to new ideas and enjoy long talks over delicious food. Recently, I have started to learn more about cooking and have started to host dinner parties with friends. I am not an expert chef by any means, but I can make a few things really well.

I am embarking on a new adventure this year in China as a Fulbright student researcher. For my research project, I'll be working work with two professors at Nanjing University on a digital exhibition about the maritime Silk Road. I plan to create this exhibition using Ruby on Rails and JavaScript, so I am also looking to connect with web developers and programmers in China.
