My husband and I are a professional, open minded, adventurous couple, new to couchsurfing. When we travel we usually use AirBnB, but are looking for a different experience in some upcoming travel to the USA.

We will be in Portland, Oregon for a week in Mid-August and are hoping to stay with locals via couchsurfing. We're possibly looking to relocate to the States in the next six months, and Portland is on our list of potential candidate cities.

As such, we'd be keen to stay with locals and experience the city that way as opposed to from a traditional tourist perspective.
