About Me

I am very young at heart, friendly and easy going female in love with all of the U.K. I love to travel and have been all over the US, Canada, Paris and Scotland. I am a fine artist and photographer who specializes in my own visionary work. My artwork has been focused around Harry Hoxsey which is a mind blowing story and he is still in business healing people of Cancer in Mexico. I believe art is the doorway to our imagination to be fully self expressed, inspire others and change the world.

In my day job I work as an Office Manager for a contractor who removes and installs oil tanks from mostly residential homes. I handle all of the bookkeeping and day to day administrative duties. I love my job. When I leave my day job I usually go work out and then to my art studio to work on a myriad of projects.

I like to go out and have a few drinks with my friends or go out to dinner and the movies. We go to comedy night sometimes and thats a hoot. I love to go into New York City and see a broadway show or a rock concert as I'm only 1 1/2 hours away by train. I went in to see Stevie Wonder in concert in September at Madison Square Garden and then saw Riverdance or "Lord of the Dance" on Broadway in the same week. It was awesome!

I have such a passion for the UK. Some of my favorite BBC shows are The Vicar of Dibley, Doc Martin, Bally Kissangel, As Time Goes By and so many more. Yes, I LOVE movies too and BBC TV in particular. SO many great documentaries out there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have never done this before and I am trying to save money. I think it is so amazing that this type of service or way of traveling and meeting people was created. I believe this breaks down so many barriers and connects so many all over the world who would not otherwise. I love to travel and see other parts of the world, meet new people, make new friends, have fun and learn- always. I would like to meet and be with people who are open and willing to get to know me and show me around or take the time to help me navigate the different places I will be visiting.

Interests

Travel, fine art, photography, family, friends, making a difference in other people's lives, writing, reading. I love horses, animals, nature. I love to work out, run, do some weight training all the while listening to uplifting music. I have one cat named Clive. He's a big tiger with white face and 4 white paws. Someone returned him back to the animal shelter and I rescued him- best cat ever. I love to savor life and its moments, drink good wine, eat delicious food, have great conversation and inspire other people. I enjoy the outdoors, all of nature, am in awe of it or sitting and people watching.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love so much music. The Pogues, Nirvana, Matchbox 20, Yes, Steve Miller, Goo goo dolls, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Kelly Clarkson, Keith Urban. I mean I could go on and on. I love most music genres- even classical and opera.

My favorite movies are Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek-The Movie, What the Bleep do we know, Amazing Grace, The Stone of Destiny, The Guardians of the Galaxy, Gladiator- Russell Crow, If Only- my favorite movie of all time starring Jennifer Love Hewitt, I-robot, The Matrix. All manner of documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught art to incarcerated women for 1 year in a maximum state prison.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach by how I live and I'm open to learning in every moment. I believe everyone teaches through their own unique view of how they see the world. I am very much into learning/studying alternative and natural healing modalities, herbs, essential oils, nutrition (although I can be so happy with a burger and fries).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my passion for life, art, have very deep philosophical conversations about quantum physics, ET's, alternative healing, natural healing modalities, free energy, a gift economy -anything of interest. I can cook a few things, make a fantastic homemade salad dressing to die for (everyone tells me to bottle it and sell it) and would be happy to do so along with a nice bottle of wine or go out to dinner and enjoy the local fare.
