Once broke out of an old, not-to-code elevator that was stuck between floors.
It had one of those accordioning metal gates that stay locked until you get to the floor you are suppost be on. I didn't have key or a cell phone so I used a flash drive as a screwdriver and pryed the rest of the mechanical covering the access panel back with my hands.

I was really grateful that I had that flashdrive with me, the casing was damaged some, but the drive still works. I renamed it MacGuyver.
