About Me

Hey there! :) I am from Cologne and study (School-) Education for children with special needs and the subjects Arts and German. I really enjoy what I am doing but nevertheless I try to do that very slowly because this is the best time to travel a lot, meeting new people and just see new places and cities. I think it is very important to make a lot of experiences in life (in general but especially when you are going to be a teacher - and I am not ready yet).
I am open-minded, friendly, mostly relaxed, uncomplicated, tolerant and I get along with most people. I love being outside - my favorite hobby is actually walking. Short walks, long hikes - I don't care. I just need to move and although Cologne has got a good system of public transportation I always prefer walking or biking.
On the other hand I can be very lazy and love to hang around with my roommates and other friends, drinking beer, watching movies or series, playing games, eating and so on..We also like to party at the weekends (preferring dancing to Techno) or go to Pubs/Kölsche Bars.
I really like travelling but I also love my friends and Cologne and just the live I am living. :)
At the moment I am quit busy with mey studies (no way to slow down right now :( ). This is why I hardly can host people at the moment. But after the current projekt (hopefully october) I am ready to host again ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I signed up here because I came to Canada for two and a half month (2016) to visit some family members and to travel around. To be honest: In the beginning I thought Couchsurfing is about finding a place to sleep without spending all your money in Hostels or Campgrounds. And, by the way, you meet new people.
Meanwhile I recognized that the most important and best part about Couchsurfing are the people you meet. There are so many interesting personalities on earth and it's so much fun to share stories and experiences!
And it's for free! (This is still a point ;) )

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to different kinds of music but I prefer alternative rock music and also electronic dance music (I mean Techno and not this David Guetta stuff...), some singer/song writers, everything with guitars and so on..
I like watching movies and reading but not specific ones, either I like it or not.
Sometimes I also like very very bad trashy stuff, just music and movies which are so ugly and bad that it is just funny to listen to/to watch..but this is sth I'd rather do with friends because laughing together is better than for yourself ;)
[If you like that too, read "John dies at the end" by David Wong!! Please!]

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Canada I had a lot of time without anything to do so I just started to learn playing the Ukulele. This is cool, because I always wanted to play an instrument but don't have much time in my 'real life'. I will go back home with a new skill!

Teach, Learn, Share

Next thing I want to do: learning spanish. Or Carving. Or both.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am able to flip bottle caps and really good in teaching that too.. :D I love unnecessary skills.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Canada, France, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey
