I left my birthplace (Canada) in 2007 at the age of 22 to travel Australia. This is where I met Grant, my now husband (together 9.5 years). We both have a passion for travelling, meeting new people, seeing beautiful landscapes, and stuffing our faces with exotic dishes. We quit our jobs in Dec 2016 to enjoy life (it's too short) through travelleling, starting with 3 months of snowboarding in Canada. We then spent time in Nicaragua to warm up and Grant needed to surf before our 3 month European trip. My dad's family is from Croatia and I'm on a mission to meet my aunt and cousins before it's too late. The plan is to go back home to Australia in August 2017, save up, then do it all over again :)

We absolutely love meeting people of diffferent cultures, plus they have the best advice on what to do/see in their local towns. Back in Australia, we've met people from France, South Africa, Germany, Estonia...and we've taken them all into our homes - saves them money, and we become so much richer with their stories, experiences, and meals they've cooked for us (not that there was any expectation). This was before the CoutchSurfing site so we have no references, but we've kept in touch through FB. People are just awesome, and we want to be surrounded by their awesomeness :)

Jumped off the highest bungee platform in South Africa back in 2008 (216m from memory). New Zealand has since built a bigger one. Also, my first time on an airplane was when I left Canada to go to Australia, on my own :)
