ABOUT ME

I'm currently studying for a PhD looking at cross-cultural happiness. I'll be doing fieldwork in Laos for most of the time between August 2010 and June 2012.

Before I was a student I worked as a youth development worker in Scotland and overseas for ten years.

I hope that I am a pretty open, thoughtful and caring person. I don't always get it right, but I'm working on creating a life that makes me happy and is consistent with my values. I'm motivated by curiosity about the world, connections with other people and a desire for social justice.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm away from home and living in a guesthouse so I can't host. But I've stayed with a couple of people and made contact with a few more people through the couchsurfing network and all my experiences have been very positive.
