About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a 27-yr-old with an affinity toward the outdoors. Currently trying to get a fancy degree with which I can affect some positive change in domestic or international laws and policies - this summer I'm working on land use policies in developing countries. While I spend way too much time studying these days, I still get outside (and outside the District) as frequently as possible, often dragged by my pup and/or male counterpart. I love to get out adventuring and to listen to other peoples' stories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've surfed on couches all over the US, and it's always more fun than staying in a hotel. It's great to meet people, get their input, see their favorite places, and really have a homey experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
music runs the gamut from bluegrass to jazz, rock to motown, oldies to hip-hop, classical to pop.
my favorite book is probably huck finn by mark twain, with dandelion wine by ray bradbury and cats cradle by kurt vonnegut running a close second and third. always up for a recommendation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my most memorable travel nights was spent lying on the roof of an abbey in rural Tanzania, listening to nuns singing Easter songs in Swahili while watching their little parade of candles walk through the woods around us at midnight. Between the stars, candles, singing, good friends, and magic of having spent days backpacking to get there, we were all pretty swept up in the moment.
Teach, Learn, Share
Can edit papers like no one's business. And I find it fun, which is probably the more concerning part. Can also teach you way more about Jewish law than probably anyone else named "Christine."
Share any adventure you want to go on.
Learn anything someone wants to teach me, especially if it involves working with my hands.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My killer buttermilk biscuit recipe, my crazy/awesome dog, and stories from all over.
