About Me
I am passionate about being on the water kayaking, the wilderness, and I love my job as a craft cocktail bartender catering events of 200 people or more. I love helping, gardening. I am a WFR aka Wilderness First Responder Medic. I am an Ayurvedic Yoga Practitioner and graduated at the Dhyana Center, Sebastopol, CA in 2016. I have an adventurous free spirit. I love learning new ways to cook since I love eating and learning. I am interested in other people's ways and cultures. I have an open mind. I have also been a landlord & land manager for over 5 years now. Also, I love sleeping and peace and quiet. I love whitewater rafting and canoeing. I love nature.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I live in a canyon on 3 acres I purchased in 1997 surrounded by mountains in a water shed where Coho, Chinook, and landlocked steelhead spawn. Mountain lions, bears, rattlesnakes, wild ducks, river otters, turtles, salamander, birds, crickets, frogs, toads. I live in the middle of nowhere and it is peaceful and quiet. My woodstove keeps me warm. I live in the outer city limits of a small town. The jobs here and in the surrounding areas do not pay enough for me to cover my mortgage and other living expenses. So I travel to Sonoma usually Friday through Monday to work bartending at huge catering events or I work in Point Reyes Station, CA to take guests out on Tomales Bay during the day and at night to view the glowing dinoflagellates/camping/catering, etc.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love all genres. I have an eclectic taste. However, I will pass on the death metal.
Anything by Don Miguel Ruiz
I love Comedies. Adam Sandler movies are fun. I enjoy foreign films and private films. I am very open-minded. I love trying new things and ideas.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I dropped in at the Hoover Dam and canoed down the Colorado River and visited every single hot spring in Arizona and Nevada along that river with my friends and we stayed overnight camping. It was tarantula mating season.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a passion for learning just about anything. I love teaching things that are presented at the moment and are welcomed by the human wanting to learn. I like following the rhythm and flow of ideas. Both of my adult children, now men went to the Waldorf School/ Rudolf Steiner philosophy. I like to share with others that my sons are kind, intellectual, honest, and fun human beings. They are musicians and I learn from them all the time. I like sharing ideas and doing projects together with newfound friends. I love gardening! Like I said...I am new to all sorts of experiences. Safety first!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
kindness, gratitude, helping in the garden, and keeping things tidy. I am thoughtful.
