Join Couchsurfing to see Christine’s full profile. It’s free!
Due to the itinerant nature of my work in humanitarian emergencies, I am on the move a lot. My job has taken me to a dozen countries in the past 8 years and I've enjoyed exploring a several dozen others in my free time. I really value the element of connecting with locals when I move or travel to a new country to feel more at home. I'm working on accumulating new perspectives over possessions. I love team sports and am always interested to try new ones in addition to the ones I already play (ultimate frisbee, football, and basketball). Oh and bring on the spicy food!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was recently exposed to the extraordinary positives of couchsurfing on a backpacking trip in Jordan. Two of the travelers I was with were couchsurfers and we used it several times during our trip to meet and stay with kind, funny, helpful Jordanians which provided a unique view of their culture.
