I'm Christine.

I have handed in my resignation and am off to see the world! Well, parts of it.

My friends would probably describe me as extraverted, bubbly and energetic. I enjoy stimulating conversation, good food and wine, a roaring open fire in winter and a picnic by the beach in summer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling around Europe, then from Canada down to Mexico over around eight months.

I'd love to experience some authentic home-living in countries I pass through, and I'd love to meet some lovely locals and share stories :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like dystopian fiction, psychological thrillers, Scottish literature and Russian literature. Other favourite books at the moment are Trainspotting, Wasp Factory, The Butcher Boy, 1984.

With music I enjoy prog rock, metal, blues (only live blues), and I LOVE dancing to soul :) I'm open to listening to/dancing to just about anything really. Would love to go to a few gigs whilst on the road!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in the movie Brave Heart when I was four years old. I'm the child at the end of the film when Mel Gibson is looking into the crowd about to die (apparently I look like a boy - because I cut all my own hair off just a few weeks before haha).

Not sure I can take credit for that because I was so young. Other amazing things (which I can take credit for) are:
Cycled from Luxor to the Valley of the Kings in Egypt
Skydiving over New Zealand
Participated in the World Naked Bike Ride in London (very fun!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play piano quite well so I'm happy to either play for you or teach you something :)

I took some cooking lessons once in the Hare Krishna Temple on Innes Rath island in Ireland (beautiful place!!) so I can cook a mean vegetarian curry!!

I'd like to improve my Spanish.
