ABOUT ME

While I have not had the opportunity to do the traveling I'd like, I embrace new places, people, and cultures. I am now living in Alaska which has been the most exciting and freeing experience to date. Now, with my children grown and starting their own adventures, I am hoping to be able to begin traveling the world as well. I enjoy showing off the areas I have lived and sharing my way of living; I equally enjoy learning from others.

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others as you would like to be treated; care for your brothers and sisters. It takes a village....to raise our children, to run a community, to be successful. Sometimes life hurts...but it certainly provides lots of beauty and smiles if your eyes and heart are open.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

New to CS but wanted to start by "paying it forward." Would love to host any adventurers who travel up to Alaska; I can be helpful in planning activities or answering questions as I have lived here for 4 years.

My 21yr old daughter is about to head out on her first European adventure and she plans to couchsurf....I figured I'd do my part here :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted on two occasions and have surfed once (in SoCal...go figure!). Each of the experiences have been wonderful and I have met some fascinating people from around the world. I look forward to more!

Centres d'intérêt

I love trying new things! Camping, hiking, ice climbing, xc skiing, alpine skiing, surfing, playing softball, broomball, hockey, fishing, name it and I'm likely to have tried or will try. I love to laugh which goes right along with trying new things!

Oh....and food. My fella and I could travel the world just to eat :)
